  It takes only 42 minutes to get here from Málaga, but there are only 2 or so trains. From the station there is a shuttle every 10 or so minutes to the entrance of El caminito del rey.

  Definitely a highlight to my travels in Spain. It"s a real shame the old El Caminito del rey hike was rendered un passable after the restoration. I think the new trail could have been built a few metres higher, which would have left them both able to be walked, and also would have left an even better scene for the new trail, but ah well. Incredible mountain ranges

  A scenic place. You may hear the train far in advance because of the tunnel system. Good environment for tourists. Restaurant is across the road.

  Cute little station, just small enough to fit between two tunnels. There is a cheap station pub/restaurant, can of soda or beer for €1, some food to.
